RESTORATION OF A VINTAGE PHOTO PORTRAIT

Restoration of an old photo portrait that had paint applied to it to create the appearance of a painting. Over the years the portrait became heavily scratched and creased, with parts of the paint layer and photo emulsion separating from the base.

After cleaning the surface of the portrait and mending the tears, the image was scanned, retouched, and printed on fine art photo paper to be framed and displayed as a cherished memento of family history.
